He’s not your typical country singer.
He doesn’t always wear a hat, sing about trucks and beer, or shy away from political and social issues. He has the voice of someone who has lived, reflecting his observations of the world he has encountered first-hand, totally defying his age. He is one of the most authentic and honest voices in the industry today, not only reflecting on himself but speaking to audiences everywhere.
Whether you find something to connect to in the rollicking “Jingle and Go," the powerful "Wolves," the nostalgic "Pontiac," the criticizing “Situation Station," or in the urgency of “Hands of Time," there is something for everyone in the masterful music of Ryan Bingham. It is rather simple: when Ryan Bingham comes to town, you should go.
Ryan Bingham broke into the music scene in 2007 with the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, "Mescalito," and his subsequent album, “Roadhouse Sun,” in 2009. It was, however, his collaboration with the Grammy Award-winning producer, T Bone Burnett, on the soundtrack of the film “Crazy Heart" and the co-writing of the award-winning theme song, “The Weary Kind," that catapulted him into fame across the globe. The track earned Ryan Bingham an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, as well as a Critics’ Choice Award and a Grammy Award. Apart from these, Ryan Bingham also racked up multiple other awards, such as an Americana Music Association Award and a Satellite Award.
Ryan Bingham will be backed by one of the most in-demand backing groups for country icons like Kris Kristofferson and Leon Bridges - The Texas Gentlemen. They are a team of sizzling hot session musicians, on a whole another level of musical mastery, throwing the full weight of their talents into the music with a lot of class and charisma.
Tanya Tucker, the singer who brought you the smash hit “Delta Dawn” at the mere age of 13, becoming the youngest singer to have a major hit on the country charts, will be performing as Ryan Bingham's special guest.
The Choctaw Grand Theatre has been the host to many of the world’s greatest performers. With the state-of-the-art facilities, superb lighting, pin-drop acoustics, and 3,000 seats spread over multiple levels, including a main floor, balcony, VIP section, and premier and executive mezzanines, there is not a single bad seat in the house!
