As fans eagerly waited for COUNTING CROWS to drop a new record since 2014’s “Somewhere Under Wonderland,” and their 2021 EP “Butter Miracle, Suite One,” the time has finally come. The Butter Miracle’s THE COMPLETE SWEETS is finally coming out this May, and a matching tour is hitting the skies this summer. On their headlining trek, they’ll be joined by special guest The Gaslight Anthem to serve rock-out nights across the nation.

With high anticipation surrounding their forthcoming album, the band served up a sweet taste of what to expect — through their new single “Spaceman in Tulsa.” Sharing their signature storytelling abilities, heartfelt lyrics, and alluring melodies, the band showcases growth and maturity while introducing a new dynamic sound in the mix. 

“'Spaceman In Tulsa' is about metamorphosis - the way music breaks down who we were and spins us into something new. It's about broken lives becoming something better,” Adam Duritz said about the track. 

A follow-up to 2021’s “Butter Miracle, Suite One” EP, The Complete Sweets marks the band’s long-awaited return to writing music. Back then, frontman Duritz sat down with Rolling Stone for a heartfelt conversation about life & writing songs. “I’ve been quite happy… I’ve been in a relationship for four or five years now,” he said, sharing how it’s a happy and healthy one. Sharing how he was used to being alone pretty much all the time, “that’s not the case anymore. That’s a big change for me, to really come to the idea that maybe something’s more important than writing songs.”

By now, we can conclude that he’s gone black to writing, and can’t wait to put out these songs for all their fans. With new stories to tell, it’s like a huge life update from the band. With no rush writing music and taking their time to live life in its purest form, of course fans have stood by in support. Heading back on tour, it sure feels like a sweet treat.
