The Choctaw Grand Theater and Casino, located on the edge of Durant and situated right between OKC and Dallas, is so excited to welcome the master Disc Jockey Diplo to the stage for a spectacular one night only performance right here in town. Taking place on Saturday May 24th, this event is simply a one off show and not a part of a larger tour for the artist - though DIplo is known to pop up at random events and hit the decks wherever and whenever he can. He has shows scheduled at clubs and festivals all around the world this year, and honestly - we’re just along for the ride, no matter where it takes us! This year, Diplo has already played Miami Music Week, has a residency in Vegas through the Summer, is playing at LA State Park in October, Ibiza in July, Dubai’s Bohemia Beach Club this Spring, and of course - for all of us here in Durant this May.

If you listen to electronic dance music, love pop culture, or were alive during the 2010s Jack U era, then you probably have heard of Diplo or have listened to some of his hit songs before. In the game for almost thirty years and a southern boy to his core, Diplo has produced for and created some of the most iconic moments in dance music history since he hit the scene at the turn of the millennium. To absolutely only name a few of his major accomplishments - he has produced for Gwen Stefani, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Beyonce, Madonna, and Britney Spears. He created the soundscape for M.I.A.’s breakout track Paper Planes. He created the music label Mad Decent and the super collab groups Major Lazer, Jack U, and LSD. He seems to know everyone in the music industry, and is undoubtedly one of the hardest working DJs in the game right now. He pops up at sets in random clubs all the time, has late night radio shows on BBC, and has his own run club that is hosted in different cities across America. Many other DJs may have more successful tracks on paper, sure, but no one has the culture in their clutches as much as Diplo does. And if you’ve never seen him live yet, just trust us - you’re going to want to, and you’re going to want to get your tickets right now before this thing sells out.
