On Saturday, April 5th, Sturgill Simpson (A.K.A. Johnny Blue Skies) is coming to town! As a part of his Who The F**k Is Johnny Blue Skies? Tour, you can catch Sturgill at the Choctaw Casino & Resort rocking the stage - no openers, just us, the band, and three hours of Johnny Skies. And - Oklahoma is the first show on the tour! What a special treat for all of us down in Durant.

We here at The Choctaw Casino & Resort are super excited to invite Sturgill Simpson to the stage for a one night, intimate showcase on Saturday April 5th, as a part of the artists’ Who The F**k Is Johnny Blue Skies? Tour, the run consists of 25 shows across America this Spring after a successful European leg ending this March.
Sturgill SImpson is an American country singer born in Jackson, Kentucky, known for his electrifying and progressive approach to country music. Sometimes put into the genre of outlaw country, Simpson’s songs are different yet simple, and super catchy for any one who likes to sway and chill and sip on a beer in the sun. His voice is powerful and eclectic and oh so southern.
During his two decade career Sturgill has received acclaim and international praise from traditional country avenues and throughout the entire music industry. He has been recognized as one of Rolling Stones 50 best albums of 2014, coming in at #18, NPR, and has won Country gold at the Grammys for his 2016 record A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. Most notably - Simpson has also been recently inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in the Autumn of 2024. He has released 8 albums to date, and debuted his Johnny Blue Skies persona on his latest 2024 release, titled Passage Du Desir. Sturgill promised us he would only release 5 albums under his original alias, and has alluded to his J.B.S. alter ego since 2016.
Sturgill has toured extensively across the world, bringing his version of country and bluegrass to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and of course - right back here in the USA and Oklahoma. And when he and the band take stage, there’s no telling what they will play - especially on this tour with all new content from their most recent album. HOWEVER - here is the set list for his show in Dublin, Ireland, at the end of February:
