In honor of the quirky electrical engineering genius that is Nikola Tesla, the band couldn't have chosen a better name to represent who they are and what they're made of. Tesla is powered by an electric soul that pumps high voltage precision and passion to their galvanic discography. Formed in Sacramento, California in 1981, under the name City Kidd by bassist Brian Wheat and guitarist Frank Hannon, they were later joined by vocalist Jeff Keith, guitarist Tommy Skeoch, and drummer Troy Luccketta, which became the classic line-up who recorded on all albums and played during the live gigs.

Tesla thrived under the hair metal or glam rock era, with their 1986 debut album " Mechanical Resonance" hitting the platinum mark. By 1989, Tesla started to blaze trails and solidify their credibility beyond the rock star status. They proved to be bona fide music artists capable of spawning timeless classics like "Heaven's Trail (No Way Out)" and the powerful killer ballad "Love Song", all from their sophomore album " The Great Radio Controversy" which sold double platinum in no time. Along with their chart-topping success, Tesla was a tour de force in the live concert circuit as they shared the stage with fellow rock luminaries like Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Poison, and David Lee Roth, as well as on their own headliner shows in many parts of the world. With certified sales of over 14 million albums sold in the US alone, VH1 also listed them at number 22 ranking in VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hair Metal.

Tesla parted ways in 1996, but got back together in the year 2000 promoting their live album and tour called "Replugged". Tesla has not 'unplugged' ever since. As their website says, "...they have been rocking out for over 40 years!” Tesla reigns supreme on the live stage with a powerhouse setlist of their classic fan favorites along with deep cuts and also the occasional dip into some of their newer tracks. As soon as they hit the stage, they deliver a seasoned yet dynamic approach to each song. Tesla commands the stage with vibrant spirits that unleash raw power gushing out pure soul and emotions.

Tesla could hardly contain their excitement about the "Keeping It Real" tour as they exclaimed: "We cannot wait to hit the stage and share our music with our incredible fans once again. The 'Keepin' It Real' Tour is going to be an unforgettable experience for everyone who joins us."
